About Me

Serving Those Who Deserve More Than The Generic, Uninformed Approach

I believe in being there for my clients, through thick and thin, and fully giving my all in each session. Counseling sessions with individuals or groups are an opportunity for me to really see my clients in a holistic way so that I can work with my clients to develop tools and skills that enable them to take control of their life. My goal as a counselor is to support my clients while they build their lives up into exactly what they want their lives to be.

With over 10 years of experience working in under-served, minority communities, I provide culturally-responsive and faith-based interventions that utilize standard talk-therapy as well as alternative evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I began my social work career in crisis intervention for domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking cases and now clinically consult for the Family Trauma Intervention Program for Opening Doors, a local refugee resettlement agency. In addition, I am also an adjunct professor at CSU Sacramento and trainer on cultural-responsiveness and faith-sensitivity.
